Visiting a theme park may not be quite as intense as climbing mount everest or running a marathon (unless you are running one of Disney’s marathons!), but you will definitely be walking A LOT! And it can be hot, it can rain, the evenings can get chilly…you want to be comfortable! Below is what I recommend!

on yo feet
You need something that is already broken in so you don’t get unexpected blisters! If you wear sandals, I recommend something with a backstrap (not flip flops). Then they won’t be sliding off your feet as you run to Space Mountain or it’s slippery from an afternoon rain shower! These recommendations are great for men and women (and kids!)!
Chacos
These are an absolute favorite of mine. They are comfortable, adjustable, and dry quickly. I prefer the ones with a heel strap and a toe strap so my foot doesn’t slide out of them.
Vans
Not for everyone, but I personally find the lace up vans to be the most comfortable shoes! I actually wear them for my other job as an event assistant (on my feet for 10+ hours!!). They come in fun prints too, and you can get customized ones on etsy!
Keens
These sandals keep your feet cool but also protect your toes and give your feet good support.

Sunglasses
Humps Optics are my absolute favorite sunglasses. I have struggled to find sunglasses that are truly comfortable and look cute. I’ve tried expensive glasses and cheap ones, and Humps is IT.
Wide brim hat
Really protect yourself from the sun with a wide brim! I have this one from Duluth Trading Co which packs really well. Also, the chin strap will keep it from flying away on a ride!
Baseball hat (“dad” hat)
A classic. You can even wear your favorite Disney hat!

Leggings, skort, or bike shorts
If you’re like me, chaffing is real. I wear leggings, a skort, or bike shorts (either alone or under a dress!) to make sure I’m comfortable all day.
Breathable t-shirt
Old Navy has great active wear at even better prices. I love the tie-back shirts.
Dress
A dress can be really comfortable and breathable (but remember the bike shorts). Check out some of my favorite dresses for the park:
Layers
Bring something light to put on when it cools down, but can pack up easily in your bag.

the dudes
Shorts
Something breathable with zippable pockets for those items you don’t want to lose on a ride, like these Coleman shorts (my husband’s favorite) or these!
If it’s winter, consider some lightweight pants!
Shirt
Dri fit shirt with UV protection or a cute Disney shirt!
Layers
Something easy to pack!
the kids
You know your kids better than anyone, so make sure they dress comfortably! Many kids want to wear their favorite princess dress or other “costumes” but we all know they can be cheap, itchy fabric. If they do insist on wearing these, pack some extra clothes (maybe some cute Disney stuff!) for when they are ready to change. Or check out these comfortable Disney themed outfits!
